Staying on Skye has become an even happier experience thanks to the launch of a new programme by an award-winning hotel group.
The Sonas Hotel Collection has introduced its first Rewards Card, giving loyal guests access to a range of exclusive benefits, from welcome treats to discounted accommodation, at its Duisdale and Toravaig House Hotels on the southern peninsula of Sleat as well as Skeabost House Hotel near the island’s main town of Portree.
Sonas is translated from the Scottish Gaelic word for happiness or contentment, so the owner chose to officially launch the new card on March 20 – The International Day of Happiness proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly.
The company recently revealed it had spent £600,000 building three luxury lodges at Duisdale and adding two new suites at Skeabost, further developing its fast-growing tourism business. More improvements are in the pipeline.
“Thanks to its scenery, culture, history, and food and drink, a stay on Skye is a pleasure all year round but our rewards programme adds another dimension of happiness,” said Andreas Maszczyk, group general manager.
“Our central aim in serving each guest is to make them want to return again and again. Our new loyalty scheme gives them an extra incentive to do so.”
